Portfolio - Chemical Etching
The process of etching includes putting an acid resistant emulsion onto a metal surface, exposing the emulsion to ultra violet light via a negative film, developing and fixing. The exposed plate is then washed in acid which removes the unwanted metal. The plate can then be cleaned and if required, enamel filled.
